Definitely looking forward to Bast being back in any incarnation; even in it's lowest days it was tons of fun. Soooo freakin tired of duris :P I'm ready to level up my 10000+ characters again.

I just read all your other entries. This is all very exciting! Even though I was primarily a duris player i still have a number of fond basternae memories. I love how you're rewriting everything and cleaning things up. I havent touched C or C++ since college almost 10 years ago and have only done Oracle SQL since I entered the workplace so I don't understand half the stuff you post but I'm still enjoying it all. I look forward to hearing more =).

I'm curious, when will you have an alpha or beta or something we can log into?

I'm also curious how you will handle that which you label 'annoying.' For example avoiding the drunken orcs could be considered "Needing to use your head to come up with a strategy to defeat mobs, complete a zone, or accomplish a task."

I also wonder how you'll prevent "Getting killed in artifact-wielding players in low-level zones and having your corpse looted of spellbooks/totems that you are too poor to replace because you’rer a newbie = annoying." without allowing stacked secondaries from exping with impunity.

And in terms of "Player-wiping because you want to refresh the player base, purge an overabundance of equipment, or replace the world maps, or cover up the fact that the game mechanics still need some work = annoying," what will you do instead? I don't really like any answers to the overabundance of equipment problem. I HATE WoW's soulbound crap, don't like duris's equipment blowing up on pvp death, don't like equipment that slowly degrades over time, like having an overabundance of equipment to deal with losing all from pvp death, HATE any mud or mmorpg where you dont lose all from pvp death, etc.

I don't know if you respond to stuff on here, but I'd like to hear how you're going to handle these things differently from duris, WOW, et al.

Thanks!
