A would-be robber who tried to take a girl’s purse at gunpoint Christmas morning in Westminster was pepper-sprayed as an alternative, police mentioned.
The lady was strolling close to the intersection of Bushard Road and England Avenue when she was approached by a person on a bicycle, in accordance with an announcement from Westminster police.
“As an alternative of exchanging merry Christmas needs, the suspect produced a handgun,” the assertion learn.
The lady didn’t need to hand over her purse and, as an alternative, grabbed her pepper spray and used it on the suspect.
“Happily, the suspect didn’t shoot the sufferer and as an alternative fled the scene on his bicycle,” the assertion mentioned.
The suspect fled earlier than police arrived.
The person was described as slim, with a chiseled face, pointed nostril and in his 30s. He was about 5 toes, 9 inches tall and carrying a black hat, jacket with white lettering, black pants and a jacket.
