Bandcamp Friday meets the World Music Festival

Contents hide

For the past two and a half years I have compiled a lot lists for Bandcamp Friday. I love sharing music that people don’t know about, and the opportunity of Bandcamp Friday—a 24-hour period when the platform hands over its usual share of sales revenue to the artists and labels that made it successful—seems to encourage fans to take a chance on albums or artists that are im new.

Bandcamp Friday is also a good excuse to share Reader stories about music available on Bandcamp. The following list of releases links to the stories we’ve published since our previous review – just click on each title. If you want more Bandcamp Reader music coverage, you can start with August review and follow the link trail back. Several of the following albums and songs are performers at the World Music Festival, which runs until Sunday, October 9. The Reader has compiled a comprehensive guide to this year’s festivalwith whom you should definitely spend some time.
