MIAMI (WSVN) – Heavy downpours in Miami-Dade County brought about a sewage spill within the Town of Miami.
In keeping with Miami Waterkeeper, greater than 1,000 gallons of uncooked sewage spilled into the Miami River on Saturday because of the rain.
7News cameras captured an overflowing manhole close to Northwest 7th Boulevard and tenth Street.
Officers with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Division showed the copious rainfall brought about their device to be inundated previous capability, resulting in an overflow of the Central Plant’s pipes.
As of Saturday afternoon, the leak has no longer been stopped, and the affected boulevard has no longer been sanitized, Miami Waterkeeper mentioned.
