Pedestrian killed after collision on Skyline Boulevard in Pacifica



A Pacifica pedestrian died early Tuesday morning after a collision on Skyline Boulevard, causing a lengthy highway closure, according to Pacifica police.

Pacifica police received a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at about 3:30 a.m. on Skyline, between Hickey Boulevard and King Drive. When police arrived, they found the victim unconscious and not breathing in the street, according to officials.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were not immediately released pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with law enforcement, police said. The driver showed no signs of impairment.

The section of Skyline Boulevard — also known as State Route 35 — between Hickey and King was closed until about 9 a.m.
