Princess Charlene Sits Front Row at Paris Fashion Week

Nearly a year after Princess Charlene returned to Europe after a harrowing medical saga, she’s picking up the pace of her royal engagements. On Saturday, she was spotted at Paris Fashion Week, in the front row for the Akris show at Palais de Tokyo, wearing a tailored wool jacket and pleated trousers from the collection going down the runway. The Swiss brand is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and Charlene later posted a photo from the show to her Instagram account, where she congratulated the brand’s creative director Albert Kriemler.

“Thank you Albert for a wonderful evening and congratulations on 100 years of perfection,” she said. Akris is said to be one of Charlene’s favorite brands, and she also wore a blouse from the company last week when she and husband Prince Albert welcomed the United States’s new ambassador to Monaco, Denise Campbell Bauer. (Charlene paired the blouse with a pair of red Loro Piana trousers in the same style that Meghan Markle wore on an elementary school visit in September 2021.)

Last month, Charlene and Albert traveled to London to attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, and the pair also attended a special memorial service for the late queen at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Monaco. When the queen’s death was announced, Charlene gave her a special tribute on Instagram. “I am deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a truly great lady whose dedication and service was recognised throughout the world during the 70 years of her reign,” it read.
