St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness hosts 16th annual Families 5K

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness. Louis hosts its annual 5K Run and Walk, the largest event in St. Louis. Louis dedicated to supporting women fighting ovarian cancer.

It’s from 8:30am to 11:30am on Sunday, October 9th. It’s a family event that’s open to everyone at the Soldiers’ Memorial Military Museum. To recognize and honor the ovarian cancer survivors in attendance, a survivor ceremony will be held, where each survivor will be recognized by name and given a flower. There will also be a wall of honor and memory where event attendees can hang a photo, write a message to their loved ones, share inspirational quotes and more.

The event is dedicated to supporting women battling ovarian cancer, their families and loved ones, and raising funds for ovarian cancer research and awareness programs. Walgreens will provide on-site flu shots for all event attendees 12 and older.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness at St. Louisu is a non-profit organization that aims to increase ovarian cancer survival by promoting awareness of early warning signs. It was founded in 2002 by seven women fighting ovarian cancer. The non-profit organization invested $540,000 in research funding.

Registration fee is $30 for the one mile run and $35 for the 5K.
